Booking and visits
How do I schedule mini-split service?
Call (512) 555-0100 during business hours (Mon–Fri 7am–7pm · Sat 8am–5pm), or send the request form and we’ll call you back. Having the brand, model and any error code ready helps.
Is there a charge for the diagnostic visit?
A diagnostic visit takes a technician’s time and testing equipment, so there is a service-call charge: [SERVICE_CALL_FEE_POLICY]. The repair itself is quoted after diagnosis, before any work begins.
Will I know the price before the repair starts?
Yes. After diagnosis, you’ll hear what’s wrong and what the repair costs. Nothing is repaired until you approve it.
Which mini-split brands do you work on?
[BRANDS_SERVICED]. Tell us the brand and model when you call so we can confirm and check parts availability for your unit.
Can you look at a mini-split I installed myself?
Call and tell us the brand and model, and that it was self-installed. We’ll tell you straight whether we can service it. Self-installed units often have fixable installation issues such as drain slope, leveling or loose connections behind common symptoms.
What payment methods do you accept?

Mini-split basics
What’s the difference between a mini-split and a ductless heat pump?
Usually nothing. Most mini-splits sold today are heat pumps that both cool and heat; “mini-split” describes the split indoor/outdoor design, and “ductless” describes the lack of ductwork. Some older or budget units are cooling-only.
Why is my mini-split blinking?
A repeating blink pattern is usually a fault code, but some units blink during defrost or warm start. Count the blinks before resetting anything. Our error code guide explains more.
How often do mini-split filters need cleaning?
Every 2–4 weeks when the system runs heavily, such as through a Kyle summer, and at least monthly otherwise. Professional cleaning of the coil, blower wheel and drain is a separate, yearly job. See maintenance.
Why is water dripping from the indoor unit?
Most often a clogged condensate drain. Turn the unit off to stop the flow. The leaking water guide covers causes and safe checks.
Should I repair or replace an older mini-split?
Repair is usually right for drains, sensors, fans, boards and flare leaks. Replacement becomes worth considering for compressor or coil failures on older, out-of-warranty systems. Read repair or replace?
Does a mini-split need refrigerant added every year?
No. It’s a sealed system. If it needs refrigerant, it’s leaking, and the leak should be found and repaired. See refrigerant leak repair.
